Fun with genetics - family 2

Stephen’s little sister Penny and Abbey’s little brother Nicholas.

Of their four children Buddy is clearly Kane. He does have Penny’s big brown eyes - a legacy from Bella Batchelor.

Ruby is Penny’s girl, very like her mother.

Joey is a Grant spawn with ice blue Kane eyes.

Daisy is a Kane girl - similar features to her aunt Abbey.

Three of the four children inherited their dad’s hair colour which is from Emerald. One is blond like her grandfather Bradley.

Eventually I hope to hold an heir poll but given Ruby, Joey and Daisy are still toddlers, it will be a while.

Fun with Sim genetics - family one

Stephen Grant, part of Gen 4 married Abbey Kane. Abbey is a daughter of Kaleeko’s Brad Kane from an alternate universe where he stayed with Emerald Greenwood. Abbey looks stunning like her great grandmother Farah.

Two sons, the first is Marshall. There is no question Marshall is of Kane bloodline. His face is much like his granddad Brad.

Shane takes more after the Grant blood line. But his eye colour of ice blue is Kane and so is the mouth shape.

You know, this is the first Jerod I’ve ever seen elder. Even the original one hasn’t made it yet - though he must be horribly close since the uncle who nicknamed him Shrimp to start with is nearing death by age (Phillip was a teen when Shrimp was a baby.)

Does knowing that Sims 4 will be released next year change your Simming plans for Sims 3?

In my case, I want to

Push along both of my legacies - World Adventures with the Grant family - gen 4 has produced gen 5.
Art Flows Through gen 3 is about to produce gen 4
Cheat my way through some of the things I haven’t seen - Supernatural species, the top of the Showtime careers etc.

The other things I work on, Hi Mum, It’s Sammy and the short story blog can wait until there’s a Sims 4 version to roll on with. I have no idea how close a Sims 4 Sam Grant will be to his Sims 3 counterpart but we’ll manage somehow.

Shrimp can breath a sigh of relief, if he and Tania don’t move out of Twinbrook, it *will* prove fatal for Shrimp. But if I don’t write another Shrimp story, he’s safe.

At the end of Absolute Beginners, Jerod asks his wife if she wants to stay or move.

I had put a poll on the blog directly but noticed that it wasn’t working properly. If I voted, nothing happened so I decided to take that poll down. But I am still curious as to what people think Tania’s decision would be. So if you have an opinion as to what Tania would want - take this survey please

Poor Darcy, she should boot his skinny rear out the door.

It’s interesting when the same Sim acts differently in different games. Neither this Shrimp nor the short story Shrimp ever showed any inclination to cheat.

Then again, Shrimp’s uncle Phillip was supposed to be my playboy generation. He utterly refused to cooperate. He wanted a Sim called Vanessa from mid-teen and he never played around at all.

For the Shrimp fans.

This is the real one. All other Jerod Grant/Shrimpton that you might see, including mine are from this one. The woman in the pic facing the same direction as Shrimp is his wife Elsa. He choose her on his own but they had some ‘assistance’ when it came to children. :P

To give Shrimp credit, he married Elsa soon after they left their teens. While he sometimes hangs out at the houses of people he dated as a teen, he has never had any affairs. He also likes to hang out at the local pub - owned by his cousin Stephen.

The third Sim is younger of their two children Alfred. Both sons take after their mother. Pity that but sometimes the genetics just isn’t what you’d hope for.

Shrimp has a pretty nice fan club; winterhame used him in a legacy and even Berry likes him - with a slightly different skin.

So this is the save for the blog World Adventures with the Grant Family. And I haven’t tried it for at least two EPs. It’s an old old save and can be interesting.

So, after replacing Central Park with the Seasons version we had

Penny and Nick are told to graduate

Penny then gets reset by Twallan’s ErrorTrap.

One of the triplet babies vanishes.

The butler is no where to be found.

Penny came back, the baby was rescued by Overwatch, the butler was rehired.

Beyond that all at the start, the save actually played well.

Now I just have to face the idea that Penny’s parents are going to be meeting the reaper. Very very very soon. :(
